Redefining The Future of Hygiene

Dewzi - Redefining The Future of Hygiene

Hygiene as you know it is about to change completely.

And hygiene as we already know has more far-reaching impact than any other industry to benefit society across the board.

And the pandemic has reinforced the fact that the world of hygiene and sanitation has to be reimagined on every level, from the industry at large to the individuals taking daily actions that shape the future of our planet.

Throughout mankind on our time on earth, hygiene has had a long and complex history.

It’s played a central role from everything around the world of warfare to welfare, but make no mistake, hygiene has always been ever evolving.

From bartering in Babylon to checking out at Target, we’re now at the precipice of a paradigm shift that will lead to a new sustainable era.

Eco-friendly Portable Hygiene.

It’s hygiene that aligns profit, people, and the planet.

No longer will hygiene be driven by mindless consumption habits that pollute our water, decimate our ecosystem and fuel the global climate crisis.

We now have the ability to reinvent its roots based on better sustainable practices from production, transportation to consumption.

Now more than ever, we have the existential duty to ask ourselves how we can be better to ourselves and to the earth.

Because our future generations need us to step up towards a new paradigm.

Dewzi - our mission - vision steeped in reality

A Vision Steeped in Sustainability

We live in a world where a tree is worth more dead than alive.

Traditional hygiene products wipe out 27,000 trees worldwide daily, only to be used once and dumped into a landfill.

It takes 37 gallons of water to make each roll of TP. In the last 20 years, more than 28 million acres of Canada’s Boreal forest, a.k.a. the Second Lungs of the Earth, were destroyed completely.

Thankfully, there's an incredibly easy way to take a step toward curbing that massive environmental damage.

Meet Dewzi: 100% tree-free, compressed bamboo tablets for personal hygiene anywhere.

What's more, the benefits are undeniable.

We’re talking:

  • Saving trees (production)
  • Saving space (transportation)
  • Saving money (consumption)

Why is this important?

The main issue is sustainability. The current products on the market are cheap and convenient. That’s why we use it day in, day out.

With the average U.S. family using in excess of 100 pounds of toilet paper a year, a simple switch could have monumental impact.

You might wonder, switching to sustainable alternatives often comes at the cost of sacrificing comfort or convenience.

That is not the case with Dewzi. They are soft, luxe, and reusable.

Besides Dewzi, there are many tissue alternatives out there made of recycled materials.

Switching to ecological alternatives is the first step towards lasting, global change.

By embracing our new mechanism for eco-friendly, portable, tree-free wipes, you could be part of this change.

What makes Dewzi unique?

Dewzi is on a mission to reimagine everyday hygiene products with sustainable alternatives while still being effective at keeping away all kinds of germs and bacteria.

Our first solution, Portable Hygiene Kit, offers a new take on portable hygiene in 2020.

We know the best way to prevent getting sick is to wash your hands often with soap and water, lathering up and scrubbing for at least 20 seconds.

When we're at home, or even at work, it's easy to head to the sink and do this.

But when we're on the run, it's not that simple.

What sanitizing and disinfecting options are available in the market nowadays?

Tons of single-use plastic, bulky, always running out at the wrong time.

With tree-free, water-activated bamboo wipes, you can now stay fresh anywhere while feeling damn good about it.

You have the option to activate your wipe based on your preference, whether with water, liquid hand sanitizer, or soap & water.

Having a reliable, pocket-size sanitation kit has never been this easy.

They’re simple, sleek, and portable.

Great for slipping in your backpack, purse, or pocket so you have all your hand washing and other "stay safe" needs right at your fingertips.

How does the Dewzi hygiene kit work?

The kit comes with a double-compartment dispenser with water on one side and 5 wipe tablets on the other.

When you’re ready to wash, all you need to do is:

  • Open the wipe compartment and take one tablet out.
  • Place the tablet on the dispenser bowl.
  • Activate the tablet with 5-7 pumps of H2O, liquid hand sanitizer, or even soap & water.
  • Unfold and clean your face, your body, and all the parts that you care about.

Made with soft but strong bamboo fibers, Dewzi wipes provide much better cleansing power than any other wipe.

They are naturally antimicrobial so your wipe is sure to stay fresh after multiple uses.

They are also 5 times more absorbent than traditional wipes, ideal for wiping down multiple surfaces.

What are the applications?

Dewzi wipes are as versatile as they get. They can be used as the following:

  • Cooling cloth
  • Shower wipe
  • Makeup removing wipe
  • Baby wipe
  • Wound dressing
  • Water mesh filter

With rubbing alcohol, you can repurpose them into portable disinfecting wipes.

Just make sure to give your hands some extra loving care by mixing into the solution some hydrating emollients like Aloe Vera or Vitamin E.

Dewzi wipes are also safe for babies.

Traditional baby wipes often contain harsh chemicals and a bit of plastic, whereas Dewzi wipes are 10% hypoallergenic, scent-free, and pH-balanced suited for all skin types.

Hand Washing Best Practices

At the time of writing this article, we are still figuring out how COVID-19 is transmitted.

Droplets from coughing or sneezing are likely highly contagious.

All someone has to do is touch a surface where someone else might have sneezed, then touch their own face and they may be exposed.

CDC recommends hand washing to be one of the most effective measures to prevent yourself from getting sick, in addition to wearing a mask and reducing contact with others.

Still, what we know to be true is that we don’t wash our hands nearly enough.

In fact, only 5% of people wash their hands properly while 15% of men and 7% of women fail to wash their hands at all after using public restrooms.

Here are 5 steps to pro-hand washing.

  1. Frequency is key – wash before prepping food and eating. Wash after using the bathroom, blowing your nose, touching garbage or animals.

  2. Soap and water is best – lather between fingers and under nails. Don’t forget the back of your hands.

  3. Keep on scrubbing – you should be lathering your hands for 20 seconds. It’s longer than you think. Try singing happy birthday twice over.

  4. Rinse thoroughly with water

  5. Dry your hands with a clean dry towel

Follow these steps and you’ll be bossing your hand hygiene in no time.
